In the fast-paced modern world, many of us are in a constant state of stress. In fact, chronic stress is so rampant that many of us think that feeling this way is “just normal”.
It’s not normal, and left unchecked it wreaks havoc on our bodies and minds, and is a major cause of many physical and mental health problems.
Yoga can help us to reduce our stress levels by taking us out of fight/flight mode and back into our natural state of relaxed wellbeing.
This 2-hour relaxation yoga immersion combines the following techniques to help you to de-stress and re-set for the week ahead.
Gentle flowing and explorative movements with breath
Settling into stillness for some deeper and longer yin yoga stretches
Self-massage techniques (myofascial release) using yoga blocks and lacrosse balls
Meditation and rest at the end of class to allow the body to integrate the practice and move into a deeper state of relaxation
If you have time after class, I invite you to stay and enjoy a chai tea with the lovely yoga community. You’ll also have an opportunity to ask questions and share your experience.
Yoga mats, massage equipment, blankets and lavender eye pillows are provided.
You are welcome to bring your own yoga mat if you have one.
