Please read through this entire document carefully to ensure that you are comfortable with its contents. By booking the Greek Islands Retreat and paying your deposit you are taken to agree to the following terms and conditions.

retreat Provider

You acknowledge and understand that the Greek Islands Yoga Retreat is provided by Frieda Yoga, Pilates & Hiking Trust (ABN 66 828 617 847) and Laura Cargill (ABN 82384261105) in partnership. 

The non-refundable tour deposit is collected by Frieda Yoga, Pilates & Hiking Trust. All other tour fees payable are payable to Laura Cargill via invoice. 


retreat INCLUSIONS

The parties agree that the inclusions of the Greek Islands Yoga Retreat are as outlined on the website at www.frieda.com.au/greece.

RETREAT EXCLUSIONS

By booking this retreat you acknowledge and agree that you are fully responsible for arranging, and for the costs associated with:

  • international & domestic airfares and ferry rides;

  • visa fees (where applicable), travel insurance, taxes and surcharges;

  • meals not described in the itinerary (lunches), drinks and any additional food and drinks purchased outside of the meals provided as part of the retreat;

  • massages and spa treatments (except 1 x 30 minute massage which is included as part of the retreat);

  • any optional/additional activities you choose to partake in; and

  • any other goods or services not specifically referred to as included at www.frieda.com.au/greece.

travel insurance

All retreat attendees must be must covered by comprehensive travel insurance prior to departure. Insurance details must be supplied to us at least 4 weeks before the retreat start date.

PAYMENT

The deposit to secure you place on this tour is non-refundable. Please choose carefully when deciding to book this experience. The remainder of the ticket price is payable via bank transfer within the time stated on the invoice (which will be issued via email).

REFUNDS & TRANSFERS

It takes significant time and effort to plan, market and provide retreats of this nature. For this reason, if you decide to withdraw your participation in this retreat, no refund will be provided. All participants should take out comprehensive travel insurance that will provide compensation in the unlikely event that cancellation is required.

The only reason a full or partial refund will be offered is if this tour is postponed or cancelled by the hosts. 

While a refund may not be provided, tickets are generally transferable to others, meaning that if you are unable to attend you can send a friend or family member in your place. All requests for transfers must be made in writing to frieda@frieda.com.au and a $200 administration fee will be applied. Frieda retains full discretion to determine if an alternative person is suitable for participation in this retreat in your place.

SCHEDULE CHANGES OR CANCELLATION

The hosts reserve the right to cancel this retreat, or any parts of this retreat, for any reason and at any time. In the unlikely event that the retreat is cancelled by the hosts, the hosts will not be liable for any costs you have incurred with third parties in relation to your booking of this tour.

SMOKING

No smoking is permitted during the group activities of this tour.

ADDITIONAL EXPENSES

The hosts will not be liable for any additional expenses you incur in relation to your participation in this retreat, including but not limited to: cancellations, missing connecting transport, extra accommodation, damage to clothing and additional food expenses.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Please contact the hosts directly prior to booking if you have any physical disabilities, medical conditions, dietary requirements or any concerns at all in relation to booking this retreat.

 

MINIMUM AGE

Participants must be at least 18 years old to participate in the Greek Islands Yoga Retreat.

REMOVAL FROM RETREAT IN SPECIFIED CIRCUMSTANCES

For the safety and enjoyment of all participants, including you, minimum standards of behaviour are required from all participants. The hosts may ask you not to participate in one or more activities in the following circumstances:

  • if your health and fitness is inadequate for continued participation;

  • if your behaviour is significantly disrupting the enjoyment of fellow participants; or

  • if you fail to comply with safety instructions.

In the unlikely event that you are asked not to participate in one or more activities for the reasons set out above, you agree to comply with this request. By booking this retreat you agree to this requirement and understand that you will not be provided with a refund if this occurs. Additionally, you understand that the hosts do not accept any liablity for additional expenses incurred by you as a result of your removal from a tour or non-participation for any reason.

FIRST AID

Should you become injured in any way, you authorise the hosts to administer first aid and to call an ambulance. You agree to bear the cost of the ambulance and any costs of treatment (if applicable).

WAIVER OF LIABILITY

By registering for the Greek Islands Yoga Retreat you agree and understand that you are participating in this event at your own risk and that physical activity and travel involves a real risk of physical injury. You take full responsibility for your own medical fitness to participate in this retreat

To the fullest extent permitted by law, by registering for the Greek Islands Yoga Retreat you agree to fully release and indemnify, and keep indemnified, Frieda Orr trading as Frieda Yoga & Hiking (ABN 73391098986), the Frieda Yoga, Pilates & Hiking Trust (ABN 66 828 617 847) and Laura Cargill (ABN 82384261105) (Indemnified Parties) from and against all claims, actions, demands, suits, proceedings, damages, liabilities, losses or costs (without limitation) made or brought against, suffered or incurred by the Indemnified Parties arising in any way from, or in connection with, your participation in this event. Your indemnity of the Indemnified Parties extends to personal injury, illness, delay, loss or damage to property or health that you suffer or incur in connection with your participation in the retreat.

RISK WARNING & ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

Your participation in the recreational activities supplied by the hosts may involve risk. The risks involved may result in personal injury including death. Prior to undertaking any such recreational activity, you should ensure you are aware of all of the risks involved, including those risks associated with any health condition you may have. By booking this retreat, you acknowledge, agree, and understand that participation in the recreational services provided by the hosts may involve risk. You agree and undertake any such risk voluntarily and at your own risk. 

OTHER IMPORTANT TERMS

Start & end: The retreat package starts and ends at Amorgos Island, Greece as described in the retreat itinerary.

Changes: The Retreat Schedule is subject to change.

Law: This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Western Australia and all parties shall comply with all laws, regulations and rules of Western Australia.

Photos & Film: Participants agree for any photos and/or film, which may be taken during retreat activities, to be used in the hosts’ marketing and promotion materials.

Disputes & consequential losses: It is hoped that should we ever have any differences, we can work them out through a conversation or email correspondence. However, should a dispute ever arise between us, you agree now that the maximum remedy that may be provided to you by Frieda Orr trading as Frieda Yoga & Hiking (ABN 73391098986), Frieda Yoga, Pilates & Hiking Trust (ABN 66 828 617 847) or Laura Cargill (ABN 82384261105), in any circumstances, is $4000. You agree that no award of consequential or indirect losses, loss of profits, loss related to third party payments or of any other type of damages may be granted to you as a remedy for any dispute.

Non-Disparagement: In the event of a dispute between you and the hosts, you agree to avoid engaging in any conduct or communications, public or private, designed to disparage the Greek Islands Yoga Retreat or the hosts.

By booking the Greek Islands Yoga Retreat you are acknowledging that you have read, understand, agree to and accept all of the terms in this Agreement. You understand that you may also be required to sign a physical copy of some or all of these terms and conditions prior to the retreat commencement date.
